This isn’t going to be a long post (I know a lot of mine have been too long, lately) but that doesn’t make it any less important. It’s short because the concept is simple. Unfortunately, many are missing out on this easy technique.
Things are changing for businesses who use Facebook for their marketing. It’s no longer a game where the benefits can be found in bulk. It’s actually turned 180 degrees to the point that you’re better off posting a single amazing piece of content on Facebook once or twice a week than a daily post or two that doesn’t really do anything for the brand or business.
There are two very obvious things happening in marketing today. Videos are becoming more powerful methods of broadcasting a business message because of improved technology and faster internet speeds. Strangely, there are still way too many businesses who simply won’t take the leap into the video marketing world.
There will always be business listing errors online. People sometimes do not pay attention. Businesses move or shut down. Some businesses are asleep at the wheel and unscrupulous competitors sabotage their listings. It happens. It’s not surprising that around 20% of the listings on popular sites like CitySearch and Mapquest are inaccurate. What was surprising is that the most accurate data apparently comes from Foursquare.
There are many ways to slice and dice the data that people and businesses collect from social media. It is not the black hole that many believe it to be and ROI-savvy people who are willing to dive deeper into the numbers can be rewarded with the data they want… and then some.

Between Google+ and every other social network created this year, the choices have expanded dramatically for businesses to be able to communicate with their customers and clients. Email is still valid and probably will be for a while despite challenges facing the medium, but social media is the one that’s on the rise.
