Why here?  Why not?  It doesn’t hurt, but it does help to support this blog.  Since the traffic is mostly driven by social media websites like Digg, StumbleUpon, and Propeller, advertising through affiliate marketing or adsense is almost impossible.  Most days, the site generates less than a dollar.  The most it ever generated was just over $3.00.

Many visitors from social media websites use AdBlockers.  Without sounding contradictory, I support the use of AdBlockers simply because some ads are absolutely terrible and annoying.  Still, it makes it to where this site cannot support itself.

While money was never the reason for building this blog, it doesn’t hurt.  Domains are extremely cheap — less than $10 per year in most cases — so buying some up is never a bad idea.  From a search engine optimization perspective, it is best to register a domain for longer than a year.  Two years is fine, five years is great, ten years is awesome!
