Currently, this blog receives between 1000-1500 visitors weekly. With the majority of that traffic coming from social media itself, standard forms of making money through Adsense or affiliate marketing have proven futile. People click, but the audience is the most tech-savvy on the Internet. They do not fall for gimmicks. They don’t get sucked into to wild offers (or even legitimate ones) that they are not actively pursuing.
Advertising on this blog would be for exposure. Having a social media or social networking theme would be helpful, but for the most part, branding is the strongest reason to advertise here. They might not click, but the name would get out.
